In Hatha we move through many of the classical Yoga postures, but movement is slow and mindful, giving students time to sink in and feel the poses.
Students can expect to experience forward folds, back bends, twists, gentle inversions, and hip and shoulder-openers.
I am well-trained in adaptations of the poses, and encourage the use of props (blocks, belts, blankets) to help access the benefits of each pose.
Class begins seated or lying down, where we spend time connecting with the breath and focusing the mind. We gradually work our way to standing, moving through Sun Salutations and standing postures, then come back down to the floor again.
Class always ends with a long Savasana (relaxation).
